Trail ride (for 8 - 11 years old)

Our guided trail rides head out through the bush together as a group, with everyone riding at the same easy pace. We use age to make sure each rider is matched to the right size horse — younger riders aged 8 to 11 are paired with one of our steady ponies or smaller horses, while older riders and adults are matched to a full-sized horse. It’s not about experience or speed, it’s about finding the right fit so everyone feels comfortable and confident from the start.

Before you head out, our guides will run through the basics with you — how to sit, steer, and stop — so you can enjoy the ride rather than worry about it. Out on the trail, they stay close by and keep things relaxed and unhurried. You’ll wind through quiet bushland, spot the odd bit of wildlife, and see parts of the country that most people never get to — because out here, a horse gets you places a car simply can’t.
